Society of Scottish Artists Annual Open Exhibition 2012

 

Sic transit Gloria mundi (thus passes the glory of the world) is a collaborative installation with visual/text artist, Catherine Sargeant. It forms part of the Scottish Society of Artists Annual open exhibition at the Royal Scottish Academy, Edinburgh, 4th February – 1st March. It is attached to the outer glass panels of the main lift following the bannister line and is a loose acrostic featuring words from museum staff, museum and architect's documents relating to the lift and the Playfair Project.
